How it Works/FAQs

How It Works

When you rent from Arkus on Tap you are renting our equipment for your event. Our rentals do NOT include the purchase of alcohol. While we would love to be your one-stop shop, due to the California Department of Alcohol Beverage Control licensing laws, we are not legally allowed to sell alcohol.

It is up to the client to secure their own beverages. The client must arrange to bring the beverages to the event location and then we will get you connected to our tap system and the drinks will flow!

How do I go about getting alcohol?

You have options! You can work with local retailers (think BevMo, TotalWine, ect) or local breweries and wineries for your alcohol purchases. Once you have made your purchases, you can arrange to either pick up your beverages and bring them to your event site, or negotiate having your beverages brought to you.

Contact us for our list of local breweries and wineries that we have teamed up with and make sure to check out our social media for discount opportunities when you buy from our friends!

I have a sophisticated palette and only drink stouts. Are you equipped to tap stouts?

You better believe we are! Our walls, barrels, and trailers offer both traditional tap options and stout and nitro options.

Can I really have Champagne on tap at my party?

Honey, you can have ANY cold beverage on tap! If you are looking to spend less time popping bottles and more time partying, then we highly recommend putting your bubbly on tap!

What about iced coffee?

Yes, yes, and yes. We’ll get you set up with our stout tap and nitro tank so your iced coffee isn’t carbonated. You provide the cream and sugar and you’ve got yourself an iced coffee bar. Now who’s bringing the donuts?

What size keg does your equipment accommodate?

Our barrels can accommodate a Pony Keg, or 1/4 Keg. That’s 7.75 gallons, 62 pints, or 83 bottles of beer, wine, or Starbucks tall sized iced coffees.

Each tap on our walls and trailers accommodates a half barrel keg. That is 15.5 gallons, 124 pints, or 165 bottles of beer, wine, or Starbucks tall sized iced coffees, per tap.

When should I reserve everything?

Once you’ve decided to rent from us, we recommend booking as soon as possible! All rentals are booked on a first come, first serve basis. If you received an estimate but have not paid our retainer and signed our Rental Contract, your items are NOT reserved with us. If you receive an estimate and wait to book, we do not guarantee that the items you are interested in will still be available for your date once you are ready to book. Likewise, if you inquire about specific items and have not yet booked, we do not guarantee those items will be available for your event date.

We book up to you one (1) year in advance.

How does delivery and pick-up work?

Delivery and pick-up in Clovis and Fresno is included in your rental fee! Additional fees may be charged depending on load in logistics (think stairs, elevators, ect). We will need the event address, a desired time-frame for delivery, and, if renting a Tap Trailer, accessibility options (ability to turn around or back in). Typically, our deliveries and pick-ups are scheduled and decided upon 2 - 4 weeks prior to the event with a two hour window for us to deliver your items.

When coordinating delivery, keep in mind that we need time to get your drinks hooked up to our equipment and chilling in our Yeti tanks to ensure the best quality pour for you and your guests. Ideally, we like to have access to the venue to set up two (2) hours before your event’s start time.

I’m in and ready to book! Now what?

Yes! Let’s party! To book, we require a non-refundable thirty (30) percent of your total rental to confirm any order. Full payment is to be received by two (2) weeks before the event. We will not deliver without receipt of full payment and a signed contract.

– Delivery and Collection addresses to be agreed upon.

– We will ask for contact details and phone numbers on booking to ensure we can find you at your venue. On receiving your invoice you’ll be asked to agree to all our terms of hire in our contract.

– We accept no responsibility for injury caused to any person during the hire period. All items hired are the responsibility of the hirer until they are returned.

What is your cancelation policy?

If Covid has taught us anything, it is that things can change in an instant! For this reason, we have created what we feel is a flexible cancelation policy.

If you cancel anytime BEFORE four (4) weeks before your event date, we will give you a raincheck for your deposit that is good for one (1) year.

Cancelations between four (4) and two (2) weeks before your event will be charged 50% of the total rental fee that will be applied to a raincheck for one (1) year.

Cancelation the week of your event will be charged 80% of the total rental fee that will be applied to a raincheck for one (1) year.

Can your tap equipment be out in the rain?

Great question! Our trailer and some of our bar carts can be outside in rainy weather. Our tap barrels, tap walls, and some of our bar carts need to be kept out of the rain.

If rain is predicted during your outdoor event, we recommend having a backup plan (indoor location or rain covering). We will also work with you to see if any of our other rain-friendly equipment is available for rental instead if you do not have an alternative plan.
